Sometime between 1971-1972, Linda Hafele divorced her husband, got remarried to James J. Boczar and changed her name to Linda M. Boczar.
James Boczar's career picked up as a special prosecutor for Watergate.

Jim Boczar was elected state senator for Sarasota. In his bio it lists Morrison as “Jay” and identifies his step-brothers, John, Justin and Drew. This was 2 years before Jay would change his name to James Hafele Morrison.

Jim Boczar death is in conflict. It was reported that he died of brain cancer at 55 on Jan 7, 2002; however, Linda’s statement on Morrison’s King County case (Sentencing Memorandum) would suggest it may have been suicide.
